Heidi Sutcliffe, Trumpet

Heidi enjoys a busy freelance career in and around London which has included trials with the Royal Philharmonic, Singapore, and Ulster Orchestras. She has also worked with the Philharmonia Orchestra, The Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London Winds, the London Chamber Orchestra and the London Mozart Players, among others.

Her success as a professional player was helped by playing in some of the best young orchestras in the world, which have included the European Union Youth Orchestra, the Gustav Mahler Jugenorchester, and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.

This year Heidi completed her Postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music, where she received lessons from Andy Crowley, Paul Archibald, and Paul Beniston. Her undergraduate studies were taken at the Royal Academy of Music, under the tutelage of John Wallace and James Watson, among others. Whilst studying she was given the opportunity to represent Great Britain in the Kyoto International Music Student’s Festival.
